Democracy

Democracy cannot succeed unless those who express their choice are prepared to choose wisely. The real safeguard of democracy, therefore, is education.
Franklin D. Roosevelt

Environment

We learned that economic growth and environmental protection can and should go hand in hand.
Christopher Dodd

Language

To have another language is to possess a second soul.
Charlemagne

Social Media

Social media is the ultimate equalizer. It gives a voice and a platform to anyone willing to engage.
Amy Jo Martin

Economics

Economy is the basis of society. When the economy is stable, society develops. The ideal economy combines the spiritual and the material, and the best commodities to trade in are sincerity and love.
Morihei Ueshiba

I recently googled Eutopia.. and I found some intersting web site: the links are in the "Blog roll" area of the home page. The first one i suggest to visit is European Alternatives.

Here you can read their "About us.". The website is in English, Italian and French.

European Alternatives (EA) is a transnational civil society organisation and citizens movement promoting democracy, equality and culture beyond the nation state.. The nation state is no longer the appropriate political form in which to define democratic decision-making and active citizenship, equality between people, the respect and extension of rights. The nation state is not the appropriate political form to promote a responsible politics for the environment, ensure political control over the economy and an equitable distribution of wealth, or promote peace between people.

European Alternatives is composed of different national legal entities united in a transnational grouping and working as a single transnational office. EA staff and management are supported by a network of local groups and individual members and volunteers stretching to 18 countries throughout Europe. The different parts of our movement work together in a joint commitment to a common vision, mission, values and guiding principles.

European Alternatives seeks to promote alternative forms of political subjectivity and collective political action.

We promote our objectives by means of public events and the annual TRANSEUROPA Festival, research, activities promoting active citizenship, youth projects, campaigns and publications. It is active throughout Europe and in the rest of the world, and carries on its activities, locally, regionally, and transnationally at various levels. From the menu on the left-hand-side you can find out more about us and our mission and objectives.

The other website is named Eutopia Magazine . Here the first part of their "About us" page...

The aim of this magazine is to create a place for European citizens to analyse the issues most relevant to their futures and openly debate them with the most authoritative voices in each field. Issues which have been central to the recent European elections: from immigration to welfare, from education to party systems and the relation between market and state. Together with the issue of the month, the magazine publishes a visual portfolio by eminent photographers. There are also historical reflections and essays on the culture and distinctive identity of Europe. - See more at: http://www.eutopiamagazine.eu/en/about-us#sthash.ERooVXWO.dpuf
